We offer programs for children of all ages starting at 4 years old and up. Each of our programs is specifically tailored to enhance the physical and developmental abilities of that age group. Additionally, our instructors are skilled at working with children of all age groups and adapting their teaching strategies and communication style to suit everyone's needs.
Yes! At Tiger-Rock we practice martial arts in a controlled environment, prioritizing safety above all. All of our Certified Instructors are trained in "Sport Safe" safety protocols and our curriculum is designed to minimize the risk of injury, focusing on controlled movements and supervised sparring. On the mat, we group students by age, size, and experience to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
We encourage you to try out one of our introductory programs or trial lessons. This will allow you to evaluate us, making sure you feel safe and comfortable, and allow you to observe the interaction between the students and instructors on the mat. We want you and your child to enjoy your time here and to feel comfortable with our learning environment and Instructors.
We know you are busy, that's why we have a flexible schedule that offers a variety of lesson times. We encourage all students to train an average of 2 to 3 times per week, via a variety of lesson times and training opportunities.
How fast you advance is us to you. Our program is tailored to each student's pace, ensuring they feel challenged yet comfortable with their progress. Tiger Rock aims to empower our students to overcome their obstacles both in class and in life. We offer regular assessments to evaluate each student's progress and to renew their goals.
Our instructors are not only experienced martial artists but are also trained to teach and encourage others. Every Instructor must pass an annual recertification course that includes leadership training, curriculum knowledge, and "Sport Safe" requirements.
Martial arts teaches discipline and self-control. Our curriculum emphasizes using Martial Arts for self-defense and fitness, not aggression. We instill values of peace and respect in our students. Additionally, many students find stress relief through participation and in turn become calmer and more focused.
We understand the importance of balance and we also know how busy our lives can be. This is exactly why we offer a flexible lesson schedule with multiple training opportunities, so you can train when it is convenient for you.
Martial Arts is a journey, not a destination. There is no set time frame to earning a Black belt. Evaluation periods are offered every two months and how fast a student progresses is based on their performance and readiness. However, we encourage all students to train until Black Belt and beyond! We have many students who continue for many years, even after earning their Black Belt.
